Service Volunteer Association Elects New Officers

The Great Plains Regional Medical Center Service Volunteer Association has elected new officers. They are:

Jerry Winingham – President, Margaret Nichols – Vice President, Barbara Kent – Secretary, Valeria Jay – Treasurer

“We so appreciate all the work our volunteers do for the hospital,” says Melvin Jones, Director of the Business Office Services.

“They do so many great things, from running the gift shop to helping in patient registration. We depend on our volunteers and we can’t thank them enough for all they do.”

Right now GPRMC has 15 volunteers but Jones says when the new hospital opens in July of 2009, he expects to need 20 additional volunteers.

“We have so many things to do for someone who wants to volunteer a few hours of their time each week to help the hospital. Besides working in the gift shop and helping in patient registration, we will need people to help guide our patients and their families to various departments in the new hospital.”
